We are using a small grass space on the surgery site to create a 14-seater space, bordered by planters and trellises for flowering plants, shielded from the surgery building and nearby small road, for patients to relax before and after their appointments. This space will be a quiet haven to promote mental health and allow patients to calmly process the results of their appointment and/or quietly prepare themselves for their appointment which may be causing anxiety. It could also be used for staff to relax outside the high pressure activities that go on within the surgery building. This project is a brand new venture being run by the PPG and funded by donations.
