An apple tree was planted in Luton and Dunstable University Hospital as part of the NHS Sustainability Day of Action on March 26th 2012. The planting ceremony was attended by branch officers, the Chief Executive, other senior officers, Phil Spencer UNISON Branch Secretary at Luton and Dunstable Hospital and UNISON Regional Secretary, Glyn Hawker.
