Langdon Hospital

Langdon Hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2022. Langdon Hospital is a mental health hospital. The outside green space is used in many different ways by staff and patients. Some of the Devon banks are being restored by OT and patients as part of green prescribing. There are footpaths through fields managed by a tenant farmer offering wildlife walks across two waymarked trails with a single interpretation board. Trees are maintained annually, felled where necessary and the wood used for activities e.g. carving, therefore less waste. They planted 416 trees in early 2023 and a further 950 in late 2023.
