The green spaces at Friarage Hospital Northallerton are fairly open and surround the perimeter of the site, mainly lawned areas and in places they have recently changed the raised beds to have easier/hardy planting with gravel. A local charity has a small courtyard garden and they are hoping to do another scheme in the nucleus building inner courtyard next year, focusing on access and patients relaxing. Some recent landscaping has been done for capital schemes. They have other areas which don’t have much green planting – without an on-site gardener they keep the site relatively simple.
